Foam Dough (Feb .6)

I am trying to do lots of sensory activities for my sensory avoider this year. Today we made foam dough with shaving cream and cornflour. It is the best stuff. Even I joined in playing with this one! The mixing process is an awesome sensory experience and then you can mould it and crumble it and put it back together again. When we were done we added water and it turned into oobleck http://sunlitpages.blogspot.com.au/2013/02/virtual-book-club-bartholomew-and.html Two activities for the price of one!!

Shaving cream and food colouring. This was fun in itself watching the colour spread.

Samuel agreed to join in if he could mix with a spoon not his hands!

adding the cornflour....

This was the reaction when he got a tiny bit of shaving cream on his hand

It quickly escalated to a complete meltdown until I reminded him he could wash his hands.

I eventually convinced him to stick his finger in

I did it! Mind you 2 seconds after the photo he jumped up to wash his finger. Still it is an improvement.

Just a bit of mess to clean up. Thankfully it is really easy to clean!
